The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights, on Saturday, 25 March, conferred a Children’s Champions Award 2023 on iProbono for advocating for quality legal aid and justice for all, and working to make it a reality.

iProbono won the award under the Child Protection category. We share the honour with 39 other individuals and organisations – including former Supreme Court judge Justice Madan Lokur and our partner organisation Udayan Care.

iProbono’s goal is to use law as a tool for social change. We do that by providing legal and psychosocial support to children who have faced sexual abuse, trafficking, bonded labour, and to children who are in conflict with the law. We also use strategic litigation and advocacy to address systemic issues in the child protection space. None of this work would be possible without our partner organisations across the country and without our panels of lawyers in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Jodhpur who dedicate their time to the cause of children. I would like to thank them and our passionate and incredible team that makes our work possible.
